Plans, minutes & billing
On this page
One thing is metered — talk time. Everything else is a limit rather than a charge. Once that clicks, the rest of this page is detail.
Minutes are the meter
You are billed for time on calls. Inbound and outbound both count, and they come out of the same monthly bundle.
| Uses minutes | Does not use minutes |
|---|---|
| Inbound calls answered by an agent | Having agents — they are free, your plan just caps how many |
| Outbound calls from campaigns and lead callback | Knowledge bases and the documents in them |
| Calls through a Call IQ analysis line | Connected integrations |
| A call that has been transferred, until everyone hangs up | Editing, testing configuration, reading transcripts |
Check what you have used at Billing. Every individual call’s duration is in Call History, so a surprising total is always traceable to specific calls.
When an agent transfers a caller to a human, the call is still a call. It uses minutes until every party hangs up. Worth knowing before you route a high volume of long conversations through a transfer.
What each plan includes
| Plan | For | Agents | Numbers | Notable |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Essentials | A single clinic or small team | 2 | 2 | CRM and calendar integrations, knowledge base, call-control tools and webhooks, email support. |
| Professional | Busy, multi-location operations | 6 | 6 | Everything in Essentials, plus custom tools and API actions, the analytics dashboard and API, team roles, priority support. |
| Scale | High-volume voice operations | 20 | 20 | Everything in Professional, plus higher capacity and throughput, advanced analytics and reporting, SLA-style support. |
| Enterprise | Mission-critical, no limits | Unlimited | Unlimited | Fully managed by the Vociply team, dedicated CSM, dedicated compute, 99.99% uptime SLA, bring-your-own LLM, white-label, SOC 2 / HIPAA / GDPR packages, SSO and audit logs, data residency. |
Plans also cap knowledge bases, campaign contacts, team seats and which integrations you can use. The app tells you when you reach a limit rather than failing silently.
Almost nobody outgrows the agent limit before the minute bundle. Estimate your monthly talk time — calls per day × average length × 22 — and choose the plan whose bundle covers it. The agent and number counts follow along.
Pricing by market
Vociply is priced per market rather than converted from a dollar figure. Package names, features and ordering are identical everywhere; what differs is the price and the size of the minute bundle.
Kenya and Nigeria are deliberately entry-priced: a low monthly fee with a proportionally smaller bundle, so a small business can start without a large commitment. Essentials in the US is a large bundle; in Kenya it is a small one at a much lower price. Neither is a conversion of the other.
You are billed in your market’s currency, and the overage rate is in that currency too — a Kenyan account calling a Nigerian mobile is priced in shillings against a shilling plan, not converted through the dollar.
Running past your bundle
Your bundle covers outbound and inbound combined, to any country. When you use more than it includes, the extra minutes are charged at an overage rate.
Two things set that rate:
- Your plan and market. Each plan in each currency has its own per-minute rate.
- Where you are calling. Premium destinations cost more to terminate, so the rate is uplifted for them. Inbound and lower-cost destinations sit at the standard rate.
The rate that applied is stored against each charge at the time of the call, so a later price change never alters what a completed call cost you.
Rarely a gradual drift. It is almost always one campaign left running at high concurrency, or an agent with no voicemail detection talking to answerphones. Both are visible in Call History within an hour of starting.
Phone number rental
Numbers are charged monthly, separately from your call minutes. The price varies by country and number type, and is shown before you confirm a purchase.
- Rental is for holding the number, whether or not it is used.
- A number attached to no agent still costs the same. Release ones you are finished with.
- Deleting an agent detaches its number but keeps it on your account — you are still renting it.
Keeping the bill predictable
| Practice | Why it works |
|---|---|
| Turn on voicemail detection for every outbound agent | Stops you paying for the agent to deliver its script to answerphones. |
| Cap call length in the instructions | “Keep the call under 90 seconds unless they want to talk” is a direct cost control. |
| Start campaigns at low concurrency | You can raise it. You cannot un-spend minutes on a script that had a problem. |
| Pilot on ten contacts first | Ten calls to find the problem instead of two thousand. |
| Keep instructions tight | Long prompts add thinking time to every turn, which lengthens every call you pay for. |
| Check Billing weekly for the first month | Establishes what normal looks like, so abnormal is obvious. |
Billing questions
What happens when I run out of minutes?
Additional minutes are charged at your overage rate rather than calls simply stopping — you will not lose a customer call because a bundle ran out mid-month. Watch Billing so the amount is never a surprise.
Do unused minutes roll over?
Bundles are monthly allowances. Check the terms on Billing for your plan and market rather than assuming either way, and if minute expiry materially affects how you would buy, raise it with sales before committing.
Can I change plan mid-month?
Yes, from Billing. Upgrade when you are consistently near your bundle — paying overage every month is usually more expensive than the next tier.
How do I pay?
Card checkout, where self-serve billing is live in your market. Where it is not yet enabled, the plan buttons route to sales instead and the account is set up for you.
Does a failed call cost anything?
A call that never connects has no talk time. Connected calls count from the moment they are answered — including short ones where the person hangs up immediately.
Can I see costs per agent or per campaign?
Call History filters by agent and by date, and every call carries its duration. On plans with the analytics dashboard and API you get this aggregated rather than assembled by hand.
